However if you have been monitored before and are comfortable with how you responded to a given dose and can figure out ovulation and are sure you ovulate without triggering then it might be worth doing. I would hesitate to do it as who knows how you respond?! It's kind of hard for them to know if the dosage is correct if you are not having any ultrasounds. Plus, do you want to risk multiples? I went through timed intercourse with femara, as well as clomid. During clomid, I wasn't monitored and wish that I would have been. That's definitely a difference in how those types of cycles are handled (between how an OB does it vs an RE). When I was on femara, it was through an RE and we did a few ultrasounds to make sure I responded. I felt much more comfortable with that. But, in the end, it's how comfortable are you with not knowing?
