Whelp, you ladies were right! Fertility Friend moved my O date to CD 13, which is when I thought I had O'ed :) Woohoo!

Glad things lined up. Thanks for all the reassurance  Now I just have to survive the dang TWW

I'd take OPKs over charting temps . . . especially when you know your body from a year of paying attention. there are so many variables that can screw up your temps and FF is far from perfect, especially on the first cycle of temps.

Like PPs have said, FF may also change it's mind after a few more temps.

For my chart, it changes itself when I haven't done anything to it! It gave me a red solid cross once to tell me I O'd, and then went to a crosshair all by itself.

@theotherstark: With discarding that temp, it'll take FF 3 days of higher temps to give crosshairs so I would think they'd appear in another couples of days?

@spaniellove: Thanks for the response! I did try discarding that temp; when I did, FF said it didn't have enough info to confirm O :)

@Mrs. Chickadee: Thanks for the feedback! I'll see what happens; maybe FF will adjust. And you're right - it will be helpful after I've temped for a few months to see if this is normal for me.

@septca: Thanks! I hadn't realized FF might change it later depending on temps. Will see what happens :)

@Adira: Oh, I hadn't realized the dotted crosshairs meant it wasn't sure! That is good to know.

Thanks everyone for the feedback!! I really appreciate it; love the collective wisdom of these boards

I agree with @septca: the dotted crosshairs means that FF isn't really sure. I'm betting if you continue to temp, it will end up moving the crosshairs over to CD 13.

I would wait a couple more days - FF isn't sure, and if your temps stay high it will move your O day to CD 13.

@Mrs. Chickadee: Agree that FF could adjust the date. I forgot that FF doesn't set an O date until 3 days after so if it's CD13 you won't see it until CD16!

I see what you mean. I'd say that you definitely could have Oed yesterday. The fact that FF gave you a dotted red line means that it's not totally sure when you Oed and it's giving its best guess. Some people have a dip right before ovulation which might be what's going on. Keep temping and see what happens. It might become more obvious and FF might even adjust the date (This has happened to me before!). Also, I hate to say this because it doesn't help much now, but your patterns will become much more clear after a few cycles of charting and you'll know if this is your normal. Good luck!

Have you tried discarding the temp from CD12? I think that's what's throwing it off. Otherwise I think you can just count CD13 as your O date!

Okay - a question regarding temping and charting for you more seasoned charters!

As a little backstory, I have been loosely charting periods, CF, symptoms, etc for a little over a year. I started using OPKs last cycle and started temping this cycle. I have fairly regular cycles, and tend to O on cd 12 or 13.

Based on general timing, CF, and OPKs (along with a few other symptoms), I am pretty confident that I O'd yesterday (Feb 16, cd 13). However, due to my temps, FF gave me crosshairs and set my O date at Feb 14/cd 11.

I know that I can override FF but, since it's my first month temping, I am a little hesitant to do that. I have tried discarding a few temps around this time, but that doesn't really help. Any thoughts? Here's my chart:

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/m/home.php/a958214

I guess it's not off by much, but it would be nice to have an accurate O date :) Thanks for any pearls of wisdom!
