And def watch YouTube vids. I was able to find a heartbeat at 8+6 on mine. Had to tilt my pelvis up and push pretty hard, but totally worked! (It comes in different Hrtz and is available with or without the gel.) I had purchased it from a medical supply store in Hawaii, but since I had proof I could find it cheaper elsewhere, they honored the price difference and I received it for around $35. I have seen it on sale since then (Amazon Prime Day is soon approaching!) so you can probably find it fairly inexpensively. I begin using it around 7 weeks just to try it out .... and I was so surprised that it worked! Not as well as my physician's, but, still, really well. (Keep in mind, fetal placement and the thickness of maternal visceral tissues will effect when you may hear baby.) In all honesty, it was a great purchase simply for the piece of mind it assured me.
