@CarrieLouWho: Ditto @Weagle, temps are always naturally highest in the evening, lower in the morning.

Just a reminder, the body's temp is naturally higher around 7pm. It's not uncommon for a fever of about 100 in an adult. I don't know how it affects infants. That said, I would probably give Tylenol because of the other symptoms.

Thanks @mrs.wagon! My mom is a GP nurse so I've been calling her for input. Will probably end up calling the peds office tomorrow.

Definitely sounds like the tylenol is working well to keep her fever down, which is a great sign and exactly what it should be doing! if she doesn't seem super uncomfortable you don't even really need to give her the tylenol. If I were you, if the fever persists for more than 24 hours or so I'd call the nurse's line just to confirm that I shouldn't be doing anything more.

My LO (4mos) had a fever of 100.9 yesterday evening, with runny nose & cough. I gave her some Tylenol and 2 hours later her temp was 101. She went to bed, slept all night, & woke up with a temp of 97.7.

Tonight I took her temp and it was 100.2. Gave her Tylenol and 3 hours later her temp is back down to 97.8. Other symptoms are the same.

I feel like its weird that her temp is jumping all over the place. But maybe that's the Tylenol working? This is the first time I've used it...

Is this weird? Normal?
