Well, we have a new symptom. He hasn't been eating well lately and today at dinner refused any food and puked everywhere. Another day out of daycare.

My DS had a fever of 101 for 4 days with no other symptoms. I took him on on day 3 and they did a blood test to check for bacterial infection which may indicate uti. It was a viral infection. Fever broke day 4 and he got a runny nose.

Something similar happened to DD and it ended up being roseol, but in our case, the fever was like 103.

@Rosie Girl: pediatricians nurse line says its not a reaction to test (seems suspicious but that's what they said). Allergists office was closed today.

@Chastenet: 18 months old so no hospitalization. Walking pneumonia is a concern. His little buddy has that earlier this year. I don't hear any breathing issues. His nose isn't even stuffed up like it was all of last week.

How old is he? My daughter was just hospitalized for 4 days because she had a bronchial virus and fever of 99.8°. She is only 3 months so they wanted to closely watch the fever. I would call the doctor since he has been running a fever for over 24h and isn't eating much. Hope he feels better soon!

I wonder if its just a reaction from the allergy test. I would probably call your dr just to check

We did an allergy scratch test yesterday afternoon. After his nap he was running a fever (101.3). He has had a fever since then. It never went away with motrin but went down. He has been reasonably energetic today but has also spent a lot of time nursing. He hasn't eaten much solid food or had anything to drink other than breastmilk (he doesn't want it).

Any idea of what it could be or what we should watch for? I wasn't planning on taking him into the doctor unless he still had a fever on Monday.
