Glad she is better! I never wake my son to dose meds (unless instructed by doc). Sleep seems to be the best medicine and often after he wakes he won't go back down when sick.

Thanks everyone! Even though I'm a second time mom and my brain knows you're all right and that's the advice is give, my heart is like WHAT IF HER BRAIN FRIES?! I took her in to the ped yesterday, 104.4 was super scary to me. They took a blood test and he said it's a virus and she seems fine, just to ride it out. She did wake up soon after I posted with 103.3. She was NOT happy about the tepid bath I threw her in, but then she drank some bath water and was fine! Haha, yay for fluids!

Thanks everyone!!

Poor baby :-( I just let them sleep. Have you tried the Fever All suppositories? They are so much easier to give than oral Tylenol when they have fevers and don't feel good. I hope she feels better soon.

@Mrs. Lion: oh I'd be on the phone to doc by 102! But sounds like as long as you have a handle on a plan with your doc fevers aren't that dangerous. Granted I think my doc office is a bit crunchy but I sort of appreciate that personally :)

@Mae: Wow! 106?! Thanks for sharing...I would probably be packing up to head to the ER at that point without even calling my dr. I am fairly sure LO's highest temp has been 102, and even that scared me. I am a wuss! (plus I read a book about a little girl who had a febrile seizure and it scarred me for life! Glad to know they aren't usually harmful)

My LO has always been pretty good about taking a "dream feed" of meds...you could try that. But if she doesn't feel scary warm I would just let her sleep. I am sure she is just catching up. Have you already talked to your doctor? 104.4 seems crazy high to me.

I would let her sleep unless I felt that she feels really really really warm. Do you have a temporal thermometer?

LO is 8 months and has a high fever. I got it down with a tepid bath and toggling Tylenol and Advil before she went to sleep last night. She's been sleeping for 12 hours, the Advil would have worn off around 2am, it is now 8:30 my time. I just went in and she's warm again but sound asleep. Do I wake her for another bath + medicine or let her sleep? Her fever reached 104.4 yesterday.
