@ldh112: I think it's an unavoidable part of daycare. People are sending sick kids to school whether they know it or not since many illnesses are contagious before symptoms show up. There's just so much opportunity for germs to spread in daycare. The first winter is so hard but it does get better. My almost 3 year old is in the same in home daycare as the baby and I think she's only had two slight fevers this season (knock on wood).

@Corduroy: She's in daycare once a week. Should I be concerned that people are sending sick kids to daycare or Do you think it's just that she's around more germs in general?

@ldh112: That sounds only slightly more frequent than my 8 month old is getting fevers. The first winter is rough especially if they have a lot of germ exposure from daycare (like mine) or siblings (also mine).

My almost 8 month old has had almost weekly fevers since mid January. A few times they lasted several days but in the last three weeks it's been one a week (fever over 100.4). I took her in after the last time and an ear infection was ruled out.
I was told it was just another virus and to let it run its course.

She's had persistent congestion for a few weeks and moderate irritability but no fever in the last week and half... Then last night she threw up after a fit of coughing and right now is running 102. Can this be normal? I am worried only because it just keeps happening. Her doctors office is closed at the moment.
