We sized up at 6 weeks when he was about 9 pounds. I'd go up if I were you.

The number of ounces sound about right to me. But if he's draining the bottle I'd offer more. Also as long as he's gaining enough weight, I wouldn't worry about adding in a night feeding.

Both of my boys were out of NB diapers by 4 weeks and around 10.5 lbs.

If he's gaining weight, I'd say let him sleep! Mine (3.5 months) has been sleeping 10 or so hours straight at night and nurses for awhile in the morning when he wakes up.

I moved DD up to size 1 diapers this week at 5.5 weeks. She's 10 pounds.

If he is sleeping through the night let him sleep, and enjoy it!

When in doubt, size up.

You bump the amount when you notice them consistently draining bottles. That sounds like a pretty normal amount to me. If he's eating 5oz no problem, try making 6 next time and see how that goes.

When a baby sleeps through the night, you let them sleep and enjoy it.

DS1 never wore newborn size and DS2 outgrew them in about 3 weeks.

My boys ate about every 2.5 - 3 hours until they started solids. I gradually increased the ounces as they asked for it. At the end of a bottle they would still look for more. I usually increased an ounce at a time. By the time they started solids at 4 months, DS1 drank 8 ounces/bottle. DS2 drank about 6 ounces/bottle. They also probably still woke up once a night to eat.

If he is sleeping through the night and his weigh is fine, I wouldn't wake him up.

Hi ladies! It has seriously felt like forever since I've posted on here and it's only because I've been trying to find my motherhood groove. :) Anyways, few questions for everyone!

- When did your LO grow out of newborn diapers. He's still pretty little considering; he's 2 1/2 months and last time at the ped office he was 10lbs 4oz. It seems like the NB diapers are getting a bit snug on him.

- He is currently taking in about 4.5 to 5 ounces of formula per 5 times a day. When did you bump up the amount and how many times did you feed a day?

- He sleeps through the night but wakes up STARVING. Should I add back in a middle of the night feeding in there?
