She was SO thrilled and excited to go. They went to a pumpkin patch in the fall and just went to see a children's play. I think they wait until the kids are in kindergarten. But they routinely walk over to the forest and have a field day. The forest is attached to the school so it really isn't a field trip. I heard they occasionally take a dip on the lake during the summer, but it hasn't gotten warm enough for it to happen yet. In the summer, they go to the city beach every week. Last friday they went on a trip that involved a train ride (just one stop) to visit the school they'll all go to come summer. They go buy the groceries they need with their teachers on a regular basis. Where have they been so far this year? And are you allowed to join them? </p> <p>We were allowed to join previous field trips, but the kids are going on one Wednesday and they are asking that parents not go. They are going to the grocery store and a community center place to donate canned goods that they buy at the grocery store. Interesting...however LO gets anxious when things are out of the norm. Her teacher wants her to try and go but I'm nervous she will make things difficult. I just wish parents could go! </p>
