LO actually loves flapping her arms in her zippy and ended up learning how to self soothe with her hands in the zippy that way!

@LuluMom - With the Zipadee-zip, he would be able to sleep with his hands near his face, but instead, he just woke himself up.

I think like @SnowJewelz suggested, the zipadeezip might be too free for him. A coworker is going to lend me a magic merlin for us to try - hopefully it works out!

Mine never liked the swaddle, but zipadeezip (she is 3.5 mo) is a lil too free for her, so we're trying the merlin sleepsuit as well. Her first night in it was bad, but I tried again and it seems to keep her asleep.. Verdict is still out!

Could it be that he wants to sleep with his hands by his face/wants out of the swaddle? My DD hated to be traditionally swaddled, so we did the arms free sleep sacks, she slept through the night from then on.

I agree try the Merlin magic sleep suit. My lo used it for about 1.5 weeks so an expensive transition. Then she learned to roll in it so I put her back in the zipadee and the Merlin seemed to have eased her out of the swaddle and prepared her for the zipadee.

She still can't sleep in just a sleep sack. And Merlin wasn't an instant cure. Still more wake ups than there had been when swaddling was working. But now in the zipadee we're doing well!

I had this problem and switched to the Merlin Magic Sleep Suit - it works super well for us! He feels like his arms/hands are free, but yet he can't flap them everywhere.

LO2 is 4 months old and over the past 2 weeks, has started to fight the swaddle. He'll cry for about 5 to 10 minutes when I swaddle him for bedtime, but then he usually calms and falls asleep. But now he's waking up multiple times in the middle of the night and struggling to get out of the swaddle, and the only way I can get him back down is to nurse him. But even then he'll fall asleep, I'll put him down, and 5 minutes later he's awake and trying to escape the swaddle. He also shares a room with LO1, who is 2.5, and I don't want him to wake her up.

I bought a zipadee-zip and put him in it last night, but then he would wake up and flap his arms around like a bat. So I'm not sure what to do now...is he not ready for the zipadee-zip? Last night I just wound up swaddling him again over the zipadee-zip. He hasn't rolled over onto his tummy yet but can roll over onto his side.

Any advice or suggestions from the hive? For those who used the zipadee-zip, how long did it take for your LO to get used to it? Is it time to sleep train him? I also can't tell if the swaddle-fighting is also a sleep regression...but I need my sleep again!!
