Regular emery boards from Target. LO is four months old and I've never clipped her nails, just been obsessively filing. Baby nails are sharp!

We bought a pack of 10 from the beauty section at Target. They're not "baby" files but they are the shortest that we could find.

same as the PPs. they have them at BRU - a little package of 10 I think. I didn't clip until she was several months old, I was terrified!

Same little emery boards that @Smurfette: mentioned. I always just used scissors. I wonder why they tell you not to clip?

Regular files. Though, it never worked for us. We clip.

Our little grooming kit came with a few tiny nail files. But just use a regular emery board (just make sure it's not super gritty). They say not to clip because they're afraid you'll cut their skin. But my kids were both born with long, bendy fingernails and filing got me nowhere. I clipped the tips off and filed down the rest.

I probably would just use a regular emery board.

What kind of file do you use? Everyone (NICU nurses, ped, etc.) said to file not clip but I haven't seen baby nail files anywhere?
