<description>&#60;p&#62;My friend used rice in her sand turtle and just swept it out to her lawn and let the birds eat it.  I am deathly afraid of birds and rodents, so I don't know what I'll do when that day comes.

The sand made such a mess last year, which I'm not opposed to...but to make my life a little easier was hoping there was some other creative option.
