Yea my Doctor was hoping that with me taking the Provera for those 10 days, would just help my body get into a rhythm. It was worth a shot! But I would bleed then for the 4 days or so, and then exactly 13 days into my cycle I would have another "period" again, with no additional Provera. It won't make you ovulate if you don't already do so. The sono will be to check for cysts on your ovaries. Some women with PCOS have a "string of pearls" on their ovaries. Metformin might help you ovulate but it could take a while to work. It completely depends on the individual. Clomid made me ovulate, not Metformin.
