Awesome! My daughter has slept through the night for the last 2 nights after switching her from a swaddle to her sleep sack. She's only 3.5 months and has not been sleep trained. I'm hoping this lasts though b/c I have heard lots of stories about the 4 month sleep regression...

@Mrs. Bee: Once a night isn't too bad at all! It sounds like she may be a good candidate to also start STTN without training!

i haven't night trained olive, and this whole week she has been waking up just once. (knock on wood) Last night she slept from 6:10 - 4:50, woke up for a feeding, and slept til 7:40! She's been sleeping 13 1/2 hours every night and waking up at 8 most mornings (knock on wood!!!!!!).

i know she is only waking up to comfort nurse, but one time really isn't that bad. i think i will just wait it out until she drops it on her own.. or until i wean!

So awesome! My daughter was like this, too; around her first birthday she just magically started putting herself to sleep and sleeping through the night without any intervention from us. It's freaking amazing!

I'm hoping for no sleep training too.
Mine is 3 months and EBF and does an 8 hour stretch every night, which I think is pretty awesome. Then I feed him and he sleeps again for another 3. No crying at all and he is in his crib.

Nap time is another story. I'd like to read the No Cry Sleep Solution to see if it gives me some ideas for nap times.

Knock on wood ... but I think Baby Y has finally dropped his one night waking, too, sans sleep training. I have been making a conscious effort to limit nap times in order to make sure he is in bed no later than 7:30 or so. I think it helps.

I was totally willing to do some sleep training after she turned a year but I'm really hoping we dont have to!

Wanted to give some hope to others. At 11 months I think my daughter is finally sleeping through the night and we didn't have to sleep train. I think the biggest factors have been her moving to the one year old class at daycare and starting to walk. In the new class she's taking one long nap and maybe an afternoon cat nap. We transitioned her out of her sleep sack and just give a blanket and keep soft music playing at night. I am still breastfeeding so sleep training was really hard because she just wanted to comfort nurse all the time to go back to sleep! Just harin there may be hope for others if you don't want to CIO!
