Also, see how comfortable they are when you mention calling their references. I've only interviewed 4 babysitters but no one had a problem with me taking a copy of their passport/drivers license and running a background check. It's definitely not unreasonable, and a nonkorean nanny would probably be fine with it. They also told me none of their previous employers ran a background check on them and that what I'm asking is completely ridiculous. Is this for real? It's one thing if I met these people through someone I trust or they have worked for someone I know for a long time... I found them through a Korean Craligslist type of website!</p> <p>I've heard and watched too many horror stories about nannys/babysitters so I'm just trying to be careful...am I being unreasonable?</p> <p>Any advice would be appreciated.
