I keep seeing the previews for this show. Looks interesting! Reminds me of that old book 'The Face on the Milk Carton'

Oh I'm glad you posted info about this show! We don't have cable but we are on vacation and were watching MTV the other day and previews for the next episode kept playing. I didn't know the background of the story but it looks really interesting! I might have to try to find it online or something.

Anyone else give this show a try? It's on MTV on Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m.

It's about this 16 year old girl who has a really close relationship with her mom and then finds out that the woman she thinks is her mom really kidnapped her from her biological family when she was three and raised her as her own. The girl (Carter) then is forced to go back and live with her biological family and is really struggling with the whole thing because she loves the woman she thinks is her mom and she HATES her biological mom for taking her away from her other mom and for now trying to seek justice and catch the kidnapper.

The show is mostly from Carter's perspective, but as a mother, I find myself really sympathetic with her biological mom. They portray her as cold and paranoid, but I totally understand why she's like that! Her daughter was stolen from her and she thought she was dead for the past 13 years! I can only imagine what kind of trauma that would do to a person!!

I'm so curious how this show will progress. I really hope Carter can learn to love her biological mom at some point...
