@Pumuckl: I have some clips! My DD's hair is finally growing out, so we don't use them anymore. If you're interested, wall me and I'll take a pic of them for you.

The only thing that stays in my LOs hair are little plastic (rubber?) elastics (not the ones covered in fabric). We do a ponytail or pigtails these days. When her hair was shorter, I would put it up in a little "whale spout" on top of her head.

My two year old has a mullet, so we can't do a fully ponytail yet. I keep her hair parted on the side, and use a little clear rubberband to pull the large side into a mini pony. Bows will clip in there and not fall out. But a bow by itself usually always slides out of her hair. Plus the pulled back look makes it less 'mullet-ey.'

We have the same hair here... She has this one long patch but it's so fine/wispy! The bow goes on but I usually have to adjust it many times.

I would suggest when its wet to make a good part with a comb and use a barrette to hold it down until it dries - over time it will start to naturally fall to the side of the part - that should help keep it out of her face

The only thing that works for my daughter with fine hair is the small snap clips. She's got a decent amount of hair now, but for a while it was just a tiny wisp and these would stay put. She can do medium sized clips now at 20 months, but anything different (like alligator style clips which seem more common) she will pull right out. I've sort of embraced the hair in the face look. We are working on keeping ponytails in now. Here's an example of some of the clips that work well for us. Some have extra grippy stuff on the back that works even better. I search Etsy for mini snap clips and only buy ones that have pics of the back so I can double check they are the tiny snap clips.

We cut bangs until her hair was thick enough for clips and rubber bands that stay in.

I got basic bows from 2 shops on etsy: cutebows4girls and bluemonsterbows. You might have to train her hair to stay over. Use the non slip bows to keep it in place over a few days and hopefully her hair will start to be trained to stay over. Good luck!

Rubber bands. I pinned a bunch of toddler hairstyles but we usually do a ponytail, a bun or half up.

My 17 month old has fine, straight hair that hangs straight down in her eyes and at her neck. I'm having trouble figuring out how to make it keep a part so it stays out of her face.

We have some bows which work well but they have a tendency to fall out. She won't keep a headband in!

What are your favorite nonslip bows/barrettes? Any tips for parting hair like this? I'm trying to go for a deep side part but it doesn't want to stay!
