My 8 month old is at this point too, she still eats purees but would much rather have finger foods. I've done pancakes, fruits, veggies, waffles, pasta, small pieces of meat, ect. I'm holding off until eggs, cheese, ect. utnil I get the okay at her 9 month checkup.

My son is 8 months and eats mainly what we do for meals. In the past week we've done: Breakfast = blueberries, nectarine, dry cereal, zucchini bread, mini muffins, yogurt, egg yolk. Lunch = toast fingers with jam, leftovers from dinner, crackers, pears, mango. Dinner = black bean veggie burgers, teriyaki chicken, carne asada, rice, broccoli, tortilla, pasta, & zucchini tots.

whole wheat cheese quesadillas and i usually throw whatever veggies we have in the fridge in (broccoli, mushrooms, green peppers). we also do banana pancakes, whole wheat pasta with pasta sauce or just olive oil, toast and hummus. i make zucchini muffins and then freeze them for a quick lunch.

these are our usual go-to's. hope that helps!

wondering the same! my LO is only 8 months but loves to eat "real" food. I've just been giving her pieces of fruit, toast, veggies, cheese, puffs..I need to start branching out! I've been looking for some "baby cookbooks" at the library, too, for ideas.

Veggie pancakes are always great, or even omelettes.

I'm in the same situation trying to figure out what to feed LO. I was thinking of just trying to pair veg and meat for simple combos. Chicken and broccoli, steak and carrots. I love salmon and avocado. Just a thought. I suck at meal planning.

My 9 month old has had it with purees - will only eat real food and only wants to feed himself. He does great with it, so I'm trying to incorporate more "meals" into his diet than just random meat/fruit/veggie pieces. So far we've done grilled cheese, scrambled eggs with toast, and turkey meatballs. Any other ideas? I don't want to get into a rut of him eating the same thing every day!
