I gave mine kamut puffs (no sugar or salt) a couple of weeks ago (she is now 7 months) and she went crazy for them. i tried giving her small apple pieces but i think i cut them up too small for her to grab. I'm afraid that if i have them any bigger she'll choke.

We started with puffs and mum mums, and slowly started giving other things from our plates. We've had times where he would throw the food right back up (pediatrician said it was due to texture). It has taken time for him to get used to real food.

Subscribing for more ideas... my husband always jokes that the baby's meals are white themed.

C is 7 months. She loves the strawberry yogurt melts. She goes nuts for those. She also really likes cucumber sticks, puffs, rice, and whole grain cheerios.

At that age, I did things that were so small they could be easily swallowed, or things that were soft enough to mash between tongue and roof of the mouth. So, small bits of cheese, cheerios, eggs, and then bananas/avocados, really really soft cooked fruit or veggies, yogurt. Once mine developed good tongue control, she could chew a bit with her gums.

DD will be 7 months on 11/28 and has started eagerly grabbing my food and trying to feed herself. We have given her baby mum mums and also other "soft" solids like bananas green beans broccoli florets and sweet potato but does anyone have any other suggestions?

Been thinking of packing her finger foods for daycare soon!
