And for us, it was 6 weeks after HFM, so I panicked until we did a little Google research and figured out it was related. I was warned by one of LO's classmate's parents that it could happen, but I wasn't sure when to expect it, or what it would be like. </p> <p>LO had HFMD about 4 weeks ago, and today, we noticed her nail is separating at the base (near the cuticle). The top is still attached. She doesn't seem to be in pain, and I can't think of any trauma that could have caused it. </p> <p>Does this sound familiar after HFMD? </p>
