It will eventually develop into putting everything he can grab into his mouth. My 6 month old still loves sucking on her hands, but will also use a teether or toy or paci or blanket or just about anything. It's gross but normal. I have tried offering him toys and pacis but he's not having it.</p> <p>Is this normal?? It seems rather unhygienic ... but I don't know what really to do about it! Is it a phase? He's not teething yet, right? </p>
