Trim is typically semi-gloss for cleaning purposes and so the dust on baseboards doesn't show up as much. Also, the more gloss you have the more light reflects in the room and can help subtly brighten up rooms without much natural light. </p> <p>I use the Behr bright white from home depot. It's definitely a pure white without undertones which I really like. It's super easy for white to be slightly yellow or slightly tan. It's not like, say, matte paint, that will come up when you try to clean something off it. Debating between satin and semi-gloss finish. Anyone have any experience with this? I've heard semi gloss is easier to clean but not sure I love the sheen... </p>
