We use netflix and hulu on the apple TV (and HBO in the past), and we use amazon prime and currently HBO on the firestick. Instead of Disney Jr, we watch some of LO's favorites on netflix and hulu (Sofia and Doc), and I bought a couple seasons of Mickey Clubhouse on Amazon. We did not like Sling TV and we used to have Hulu and would have kept it had we not had a Dish login (it works for all the apps so we can watch the same stuff free.) We also have a digital antenna for live local channels. We've been cord free for about 5 months now, I'm fine with it, DHs' ready to get cable again for sports but not until we move into our newly built home. We have a smart tv with Roku and our nick jr is very glitchy, too. I also thought it was our connection. Luckily, DD is in a Disney jr phase at the moment.</p> <p>We split all our streaming channels with friends and family. So we trade passwords so that we have Hulu, Amazon prime, Netflix, HBO go and Disney jr. It's been working for us that way for the last 4 years. We use my dads direct tv password for the Disney jr app and have had no issues with accessing the shows. Not a big fan so far, we have the 25$/month version and it includes nick jr instead of Disney. They didn't use it and didn't care that we used their login. We did this with several other channels, including HBO.</p> <p>We also did SlingTV when it first started. I can't remember if Disney Jr was a channel or if it was just the Disney channel. My DS usually only watches shows in the morning and the Disney channel shows Dis Jr most mornings. It worked well for what we needed. I'm not sure what their channels are now. We had to get the Fire stick because Sling only worked on the Fire or Roku at the time. Netflix also has a ton of Dis Jr shows. We also like Amazon Prime streaming...lots of good shows there as well!</p> <p>Another option would be PlayStation Vue (if available in your area and if you have a PlayStation).
