Given that you were 11 weeks your first AF is probably more similar to a post partum AF and my first one after having my daughter was unbearable, like I almost thought I was having a miscarriage it was so heavy and painful. It was the only thing that relaxed the muscles enough to give me any relief. My doctor also recommended taking the max dosage of advil (4 pills) or aleve (2) regularly starting at least 3 days before AF. Not an option now, and not if you're ttc, but if you continue to have this sort of thing, it did work. Not enough that I felt nothing, but it helped a ton. Waiting until it started was too late. My first AF I definitely had a lot of cramping and back pain. My cycles have been a little erratic, but not too all over the place. Some cycles are short (27 days) and some are 30 days. I have had cycles that were lite and some that were heavier. I have also had cycles that were short and others that were longer. My AF symptoms and cycle patterns have not gone to extremes though so I have not been so concerned about it. </p> <p>Pre-MC I was as regular as regular can be with little to no AF symptoms. Pretty much as good of an AF as it can get. I have now had 5 cycles post AF so I am getting convinced that irregularity is now my new norm. I usually abve a pretty easy AF, so this is really different. Today, I had to leave school because I'm having such bad cramps I can't stand up straight and sometimes can hardly talk normally through them. Has anyone else experienced this? Was your first AF after a miscarriage more painful than usual? Is there something else I should be concerned about in this situation? </p>
