We did timed checks. So we set a timer and went in after 2 minutes. Said "night night it's time for sleep" and put DS back in his preferred sleeping position and left. No holding. No staying. Then same thing five minutes later. Then seven. Then every ten until he fell asleep.

Help! My 7-month-old DD will not nap without either being on my breast or in the car. She's in her crib SCREAMING right now. It's the first time I've tried to put her down to nap in there. She co-sleeps with me at night, which I have no problem with. But, she needs to learn to nap on her own. I don't know how long is too long to let her cry in her crib. I feel like a monster right now. :(
