Random comments, yeah, plenty of those, but no one touches. Which is good. At least you were able to end it pretty painlessly. When I was pregnant my mom had this weird habit of crouching down and speaking to my belly. Sometimes she'd whisper like it was just between her and LO. All of the usual questions follow, including "can I touch?" -- I'm a bit of a handsy person myself and have no problem with people touching the bump, so I'm like "yah, of course!".</p> <p>Well. She proceeds to *massage* my stomach for seriously about three minutes while we are standing there talking! Circular motions, both hands, three minutes. Not kidding. We were standing on the sales floor of a busy cosmetics department! I had a moment of slight panic when I thought "how am I going to get her to stop without making this whole thing more awkward?!". Luckily, my employee came walking up and it was a natural way for me to kind of turn my body in greeting her and she dropped the belly. </p> <p>Ohmygosh it was so bizarre. Has anyone else had someone do something like that?! It's made me re-think my feelings about who can touch my bump! </p>
