Decide on a menu early on so you can stock up and watch for sales beforehand. We knew we were doing chicken/steak ke bobs so we bought chicken when it was on sale weeks ago.</p> <p>We DIYed all decorations. Baked both cakes and made all the food.</p> <p>I think the key is to not go crazy buying stuff bc it works with your theme. There were things I wanted but then I would think well would I really use this after the party? If I said no then I didn't buy it. I think that's when you completely blow your budget buying knick knacks here and there.
