@autumnlove: not really! My friend is coming to paint faces (she's really good!) but aside from that I'm stumped. I mean its only 2.5-3 hours, and that includes lunch, presents and cake..so I Prob don't need too much right?

I think bubbles and a couple coloring books should be good enough! Or play dough is a good idea too

playdough! it's so easy to make your own - flour, cream of tarter, & salt, then add hot water and mix. food coloring if you want pretty colors.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @autumn865: ooh bubbles and coloring are good ideas! I have no idea if it'll be warm enough to swim, so I don't want to count on pool or a water table unfortunately. DD was born 9/27, and that day was pretty warm..then the day we took her home from the hosp it was freezing!

@LuLu Mom: good ideas! thanks! I'll see what stuff I have that I can repurpose for games :)

I have a range of 1-6 year olds and am planning the following games (all games I made)

ring toss (spray painted old Starbucks glass bottles, and bought embrodiary hoops that I covered in ribbon)

Bean bag toss - 6 different colored bean bags that they will throw at the same colored paper

Ball Toss - Sand buckets and ping pong balls. Similar to the old Bozo The Clown game

We will also have a couple other yard games for both kids and adults that we already have.

Totally thinking the exact same thing for DD's one year party with vastly different age ranges. The goodie bags were hard enough! I was thinking putting out some bubbles and sidewalk chalk? Also flung up DD's baby pool.

We're having two separate parties, one on saturday and one sunday (in september). family is saturday, friends on sunday. Minnie Mouse party, if that matters.

anyway, the age groups of the children vary WILDLY. we are on a super budget, so no bouncy houses or expensive activities allowed.

is anyone bored enough to help me come up with some activities and/or games for the kids (and their own parents) to do, if I list ages? :)

EDIT - It's at my parents, so while there are some baby toys, there are not as many as if it were at our house.

--

family party:
(4) 12/13 year olds..I'm not too worried about them.
(2) 8 year olds..same as above
(3) 3-5 year olds
(3) 2-year olds
(2) babies (9 months, and my dd!)

friend party:
(4) 2-3 year olds
(5) 1 year olds (well, from 11-15 m)
(1) 8 month old

ahh thanks!!
