Think Dick & Jane type items mixed with pastels and lace. Most of the things we're using are either DIY or purchased from Etsy. The party is next month, so I'm really starting to get nervous about the DIY stuff! :meh:
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1605034 Thu, 01 May 2014 11:05:09 +0000 swedishfish 1605034@https://boards.hellobee.com/
We are just doing colors - light pink, dark pink and glitter gold with maybe a hint of aqua.
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1605012 Thu, 01 May 2014 10:59:07 +0000 Honeygold89 1605012@https://boards.hellobee.com/
This website has a few good ideas

http://www.birthdayexpress.com/default.aspx?host=http://www.birthdayexpress.com/
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1604882 Thu, 01 May 2014 10:11:09 +0000 pmerr 1604882@https://boards.hellobee.com/
We're doing sports/football theme, the birthday party will be on the kickoff weekend. I like it, but not feeling it 100%, but I don't know what else to do that isn't too "trendy" or over the top, or not him at all. I already have worked on his invite, which is a ticket.
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1604839 Thu, 01 May 2014 10:01:35 +0000 Alivoo01 1604839@https://boards.hellobee.com/
We're doing a safari theme because I saw a bunch of safair theme items in the clearance bin for $0.97 a few months back (e.g. paper plates, invitations, napkins, cups, happy 1st birthday banner etc.). why not! Just gotta come up with food and additional decor. I'm hoping to keep it somewhat simple since it's a 1st bday, but our friends have kids so I'm thinking I'll need to come up with some activity for them...
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1604746 Thu, 01 May 2014 09:34:53 +0000 Smurfette 1604746@https://boards.hellobee.com/
@emg86: I want to see pictures!
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1604734 Thu, 01 May 2014 09:31:43 +0000 MsLipGloss 1604734@https://boards.hellobee.com/
We did a rainbow-colored polka dot theme!
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1604727 Thu, 01 May 2014 09:29:55 +0000 lawbee11 1604727@https://boards.hellobee.com/
We're doing strawberries :)
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1604699 Thu, 01 May 2014 09:21:18 +0000 emg86 1604699@https://boards.hellobee.com/
My daughter will be 1 this weekend. My favorites are the simple ones like colors or glitter or sprinkles. I've seen some under the sea/mermaid ones that are pretty cool. I think we're going to do a 'one-derland' tea party. Might change my mind between now and then though!
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/first-birthday-themes-1#post-1604192 Thu, 01 May 2014 06:31:53 +0000 Mrs Hedgehog 1604192@https://boards.hellobee.com/
So the Hoglet is 4 months away from her first birthday. But those 4 month can go by so quickly (boo!) so I am starting to think about what we want to do in hopes of slowly putting it all together vs all at once. I figure, I might as well savor this one since I doubt I will have that luxury in the future.

I don't know what theme I want to go with. Mr. Hedgie really wants a rocket theme but I am not feeling it. (He only wants that because it is what his first birthday was.)

What is/was your favorite birthday theme? Pictures are welcome!!!
