So for a 1 month old, 2 oz, for a 1.5 month old, 3oz. Also, depending on who your caregiver will be, you can divide the milk up into small portions of have her do it, so you don't waste. My bottle feeding/pumping days were short lived though because she went on a year long bottle strike. :P </p> <p>Next time I would give him 3 ounces and see how he does. I pumped 2 ounces and he guzzled it in about less than 5 minutes. I literally couldn't believe it. It took about 20 minutes or so to pump the 2 ounces and I thought that would be close to plenty. He acted hungry still so I ended up feeding him an additional 10 minutes on one breast and 5 on the other. </p> <p>Basically...for anyone who might have done the same thing or something similar...how do you figure out how much is too much or not enough? Any advice or expertise would be helpful! It's way more overwhelming than I thought it would be. </p>
