This is exactly what I use! I also keep them in my diaper bag as a changing pad for short excursions when I think I probably won't need a diaper change, but just in case, it's in my bag. My regular changing pad is just bigger than my "diaper bag" (a purse that really isn't big enough to be a diaper bag).<br /> I didn't think of them as being puppy pads--but now I know where to buy them! I got a bunch from the hospital to put in bed for lochia, but never needed them. Whenever I see a little red spot, I put her down on her playmat with a puppy pad under her, and if she goes, it soaks up the mess and there is nothing to wash!<br /> I also keep one in my diaper bag I case of a blowout, it's a good barrier for my diaper pad so it doesn't end up covered too. Baby Y woke up around 11 last night whining, and I went in and nursed him (he usually wakes up once a night). There was a faint poop smell but I thought it was his diaper pail and not him (I had just fallen asleep myself and wasn't really thinking very clearly). So I didn't check his diaper. </p> <p>Biiiiig mistake. At 4 this morning, he's up and there's no mistaking the smell, and when I changed him, he had a rash and cried and cried when I wiped :( Oh, and then he pooped two more times in the next two hours, so we got to repeat the process.</p> <p>Mommy fail!!!!!</p> <p>(On a side note, any recommendations for remedies/creams? Right now I'm using the generic Target destin-type stuff and it smells sooooo bad.) </p>
