i'm on my first cycle after BC also! although we aren't going to TTC for a couple of months, i've started charting just to see what my cycle really looks like. I'm curious to know when my period will arrive too, I feel like i've been on the pill for ages!

It's hard to really tell since you've been on bc so long. I would say, wait till your period shows or doesn't show when you expect it normally would. We didn't try our first couple months off bc so I'm not help there but it does usually take some time for your body to get back to normal. That being said, there are always exceptions. :)

I have just Finally finished by first cycle post BC - 83 days long! I was getting tired of waiting for my period to show up. I even started acupuncture to try to induce my period. I can't wait till my cycles start regulating again. I just hope my next cycle is not as long.

My boobs hurt soooo bad the month after going off BC, and I was also nauseous. I did end up testing just in case, but don't be too disappointed! My first cycle off was 35 days, then 32, then 38! With an O on day 24 (first cycle temping). Then my last one was 33 days. So, it can take a minute to regulate.

@lilteacherbee: Thanks. I just want AF to come so I can try to figure my cycle out. Hubs and I planned to keep it low key the first few cycles before buying OPK's. Good luck to you too.

The first couple weeks off BC I had horrible headaches and hot flashes, but that's about it. I was using OPKs so I figured out when I ovulated and my cycle ended up being 44 days long. I, of course, started doing hpt's (just in case) on about day 30 but I didn't even ovulate until day 35. Last cycle (2nd off BC), it lasted 50 days. Today is CD 17 and I'm waiting on O.

Good luck! I've been off the pill since the end of January and my cycles are still kinda crazy, but its different for everyone.

This is my first cycle after going off BC. My last period on BC was a little wonky. I was spotting the week before the sugar pill week and didn't really get a period that following week. I'm not really sure when I will get my period. Mr. Wallaroo and I have been DTD regularly. This afternoon my nipples started to feel sore. I didn't really have PMS symptoms while on BC and it has been so long since I was off BC that I don't know what my normal PMS symptoms are. Should I just wait until the end of the month to test since I don't really know when to expect my period? I think this is probably just my body to being off BC but I can't help let my mind wander :)
