@mrs. bird: DH would make to much for any child care assistance. We aren't rolling in the dough but we are not hurting either. If we can just pay off our CC we would be fine. Just frustrating that it would cost more then I even make to find care for them.

@littlek: It would still end up being about the same. I make just over $13/hr I don't know a whole lot of nanny's that would work for much less then $10/hr. At that point I wouldn't even make enough to pay for my gas to and from work.

I have a feeling I'm going to end up staying home.

Unless you live in an area with incredibly low cost care, it might make more sense to stay home for a bit. BFF had twins & a LO two years older and the cost of two infants & a toddler in daycare was more than her income (we live in the most costly state for child care in the US), but she really wanted to work and applied for financial assistance from the state & was able to get a discounted rate. So she picked a center & she paid a certain % and the state paid a certain %. Might be worth looking into if you qualify for child care assistance if tuition is gonna be a strain for you guys.

@Sugar.Biscuit: $552 for 2? That's not terrible. It might be slightly cheaper to get a nanny. Have you looked into that?

Went really well. I loved the facility, the staff have all been there 5 -13 years, its almost brand new & super clean. Best part was they do not keep the same hours as the school system. So if the school has a snow day the daycare is still open! Sadly $552/week is not an option when I only bring home $1,500/month :-(

DH is set on not doing and in home daycare but wants me to start my own in home daycare...With twins!? Are you crazy!?

Ugh on to they next one...
