that's awesome! I didn't get an ultrasound until 10 weeks, and the drs at the office won't even see patients until 10 weeks along. And I didn't get to hear the heartbeat until 14 weeks. They never tried before that. Congrats on a healthy checkup!

Yay! Congrats! My first visit was similar except my OB owns his own practice so there were no other doctors to meet.
My vaginal u/s was one of the scariest/nerve wracking things I've ever done because I bled a lot the night before and wasn't sure if I'd see a heartbeat. Was so relieved and cried happy tears when I saw the yolk sac and my baby's strong heartbeat.

Pregnancy + being a mommy is seriously the best thing in the world. :) Congrats again!

I had my first appointment today with my new OB practice. Dh and I met a couple of nurses and one of the doctors (there are 8 in the practice I am going to). I'll meet all 8 through my many visits. I'm excited about this practice - everyone we have met so far has been kind and willing to answer any questions we have.

We got to see our little blueberry and hear its heartbeat from a vaginal u/s today. That was so cool. The heartbeat was 152bpm and I'm 7w4d along. This is really happening!! :)

I'd love to hear about other first doctor visits and if they were the same or different than my experience.
