@LazyLightning: thank you :) It hasn't gotten worse - I think like you said, I got "used to it". Actually, last night I had rice, with chicken & brocolli, and two fried shrimps from a chinese restaurant and didn't feel horrible !

Sounds normal to me. I hope it doesn't get any worse! I feel like that on my best days. I kind of got used to it, as depressing as that may seem to you!

Lady! We're so close together! I'm 5 weeks today, I believe. Hooray for a buddy! Congrats! I haven't really had anything much by way of symptoms yet, but I keep feeling like I have a lump in my throat after I eat. I'm glad to hear all these ladies' opinions!

@Mrs Green Grass: @JoJoGirl: @Mrs. Blue: thanks ladies!!! I made a sneak BFP announcement Nov 6 and ran away since I was soooo terrified it wasn't real. This is my first time on forums since then! I finally graduated from the ttc boards, yay :-):-):-)

Thanks to everyone else for reassurances. I had chicken noodle soup for dinner and some sweet bread :-)

I had something similar too, I felt like not eating most of the time but when I did want to eat it was something random usually. I think a lot of it to me was mind games thinking about a baby in there made me feel kinda weird.

Yeah, food pretty much grossed me out too in the first trimester. I ate a lot of carbs, but I couldn't stomach anything with texture like salads, chicken, etc.

I'm a couple of weeks behind you and I'm also getting the "sitting there" sensation - only I get mine with warm drinks. I had a cup of decaff tea last night before going to bed and I was up at 11.30pm throwing it up. Pregnancy - it's such a magical time! Lol.

I’m 7 weeks, and have been feeling really strange after eating. It’s not that I feel nauseous, it’s that the thought of eating grosses me out. And when I do eat, I feel as though it just “sits” in my stomach. It’s not painful, or queasy, or bloat-y. It just feels like a big rock just sitting there. Is it because digestion slows down?

I haven’t had morning sickness yet, only slight nausea when I’m hungry. Hopefully m/s doesn’t hit me as hard as it did my sister, who is also pregnant right now :) (aw, same-age cousins)

My first apt. isn't until mid-December, when I'll be about 10 weeks. This is so nerve-wracking. I mean, I'm sure everything is OK. Especially since my boobs have been abominably sore, and smells are heightened, and I've felt fatigue etc.

Sorry this ran away from me. So is my "food sitting there like a brick" thing pretty common? (I'm having small light meals instead of typical normal-portion ones that I used to have)
