I have an anterior placenta so I didn't feel strong movement until about 21 weeks, but the first small movements I felt felt like twitching nerves in my stomach. Then as he got bigger it felt like heart palpatations but in my uterus. It's the weirdest way to describe how it felt. Now it's very obvious and strong and you can see him moving around and kicking.

It felt like bubbles in my stomach, not consistent enough for me to really "get" but they would make me stop and wait to see if it happened again.

It felt like a fish tail was hitting the inside of my stomach. It was not low - but baby was frank breeched pretty much my entire pregnancy, so no real surprise there.

For me it felt like a tickling sensation, or like bubbles popping, maybe somewhere around 15 weeks. Quite early but definitely not gas!!

It was definitely very low for a long time. I think muscle spasms are the closest comparison I can think of. Sometimes when I get a muscle twitch somewhere now, it makes me think of early baby movement.

That sounds like movement to me! And a lot of kicks and stuff I feel now are still reaaally low like that...like right above my pubic bone. So I do think you're feeling the baby!

@kiddosc: LOL!! Love that description!

@MelisMc: I know! It's hard to describe right?

Well I'm 16+3 today with my first, and I'm almost feeling like.....tapping feelings low, like down near my underwear line. Tapping is the best way for me to describe it, it's like a quick feeling. I'm just trying to figure out if it's actually movement or not! :-)

It's so hard to describe the first feelings! I'm at 27 weeks now and the movements are so obivous that it's easy to describe, but in the very beginning it's much harder to capture. A lot of people say flutters, but for me it almost felt like involuntary muscle spasms or nerve twitches. Does that make sense? And sometimes like little gas bubbles. :-)

When you first started to feel movement during pregnancy, what did it feel like?

Please describe in details! :-)
