My first one after X was born (11 months pp) was really long (7 days), really heavy, and pretty bad in terms of symptoms. My first cycle was also pretty long for me-- almost 38 days. After that first one, my period's have been longer than pre-baby, but lighter. 5.5 months since the first post-baby period, and my cycle is still sorting itself out, but it's getting pretty close to how things were before I had X.

Yep. I got mine back at 7 months pp despite nursing! PEriods were lighter than usual and my cycle was a lot longer than usual too. I think I got my period back every 40 something days before I got pregnant with my son.

I just got my first pp period at 5.5 months, and it was the same as you describe. Short and light.

So I just got my period back about three days ago (went almost two yrs without one thanks to my milk monster!). My periods used to be long -like around 7 days - but this time, it was really light and barely lasted three days. Is this normal? Did it take awhile for your periods to regulate?
