Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! So exciting! I'm not sure how it works in Canada, but in the US, I just called my normal OBGYN and told them I was pg and needed to set up prenatal appts. Then they scheduled my bloodwork and first appointments. Maybe you could just call your regular doctor and ask how it should be done. Again, so happy for you!!

HUGE congratulations!

I'm in Ontario - is that where you are as well? Here you start with your GP. Ultimately your GP will refer you to an OB, but you can stay with your GP up until 28 weeks (if you want to - I started seeing my midwife around 18 weeks though) and he/she will order all the necessary u/s, tests etc. You can't get into an OB without a GP's referral.

Hey there,
So, while I've read every single book on the TTC subject (lol), I am clueless about what to do next.
I'm Canadian, if this makes a difference.
But once I get my blood work done (Monday), do I go see my family doctor? Or do I call an OB and try to get in there? Can my family doc refer me to an OB, or is that something I do myself?

I just moved cities, so the bloodwork requisition was faxed by my old family doc to a lab in the new city.
