Same issue here tonight....but we're only at the one week mark. I've shhh'ed myself to death, nursed my nipples off, rocked, swayed and resorted to a soother. No dice.

At 3 weeks, I think it's likely a growth spurt. We had 3 rough days around that time when she was up every hour to nurse.

There might be nothing wrong, perhaps he just wants to be close to you? He did spend 9 months inside you and the big world can be scary when you're that little, I had nights/days with DS when he just seemed to want to be in my arms. Exhausting but endearing as well, it doesn't last very long and before you know it you'll miss those times...sorry feeling a bit nostalgic here!

Thanks, ladies. Hoping tonight is a better one. I have a feeling I have some reading to do on how to g my little guy to sleep better. I know we need to come up with a routine of some sort soon.

Hopefully sweet dreams to all!

@Meggo5: Oh my gosh, you poor thing! I don't really have any advice as our little ones are the same age so I'm still learning, but just wanted to offer support.

The only thing I can think of is reflux?

I'm sorry :( could it be gas? That's what usually wakes our guy up if it's not hunger. He'll fuss and grunt for a few minutes before he screams. Gas drops have helped us a lot. You're not alone!

I had a feeling that I would have a completely sleepless night with our son (3 weeks today!) but I didn't think it would be quite this soon. He has been fussy most of the day and only slept for about 2 hours at a time last night, but tonight is the hardest night by far.

He has nursed (although fussy doing so). He has been changed. He has been burped. I am trying to figure out what's bothering him as I can't get him to settle down for more than 10 minutes at a time. He seems to br healthy in every other way. He will calm down when I hold him but only for a few moments. In his co-sleeper or his RnP, he starts fussing after a minute or two and hen starts screaming.

My apologies for the vent. I am just not sure why to do to make him more comfortable. I am hoping this is related to a growth spurt or other change.
