That way, the real tent would be zipped up, free of bugs and dirt. I also didn't bother bringing many toys. Just things that made the outdoors more fun: sidewalk chalk, glow sticks (bought in bulk from Amazon) for nighttime, and art supplies (they painted rocks, pine cones, and sticks they collected).
