And it was pretty heartbreaking because I, like you, had always had a paycheck since I was a teenager, and I got laid off right at the beginning of the recession and couldn't get an interview let alone a new job. So I got 2+ years of unemployment and got pregnant. Since I returned from maternity leave in April things have been funky. Long story short, the work/projects I had before leave we're mostly taken away when I came back due to lack of available work for the main office, so I've been trying to market and get more work. Well the company lost its big client and I got the boot. I'm pissed about how things went down but without revealing too much, I just wanted to vent. It sucks so so so so bad since our lease runs out at the end of the year and we were literally JUST about to make an offer on a new home for our little family. Now those plans have to be placed on hold. =( </p>
