I did a lot of cereal and bagels.

I'm sad to say at almost 26 weeks I'm not feeling much better.

A lot of plain bagels. Kraft mac&cheese in the blue box. Sometimes chicken nuggets... toddler food basically! Really salty stuff like soup was gross to me and so was really sweet food (I usually love sweets - like fruit snacks). I really couldn't eat much protein. Sometimes a plain cheeseburger from McDonald's.

If you like fries, maybe try a plain baked potato with a little butter or shredded cheese. That's a little more nutritious.

I just ate whatever I felt like I could handle! I would not stress about it too much - now I'm 22 weeks, starving all the time and eating lots of fruits and veggies (and cookies and hamburgers, LOL).

Thank you for the smoothie suggestions, I had one this morning and I feel better then usual.

Fries and pizza go down pretty well and I don't know why, but I am so glad to hear it's not just me. I can't wait until I can eat normally again. Thank you for all of the responses!

There weren't many! I liked drinking smoothies - they were fast-digesting... Most fruits were okay too - bananas and strawberries particularly were easy on my stomach.

I remember oatmeal was an awful trigger food. I couldn't eat it for two years because of the association!
Almost everything made me sick - even pasta. And I was sick from the moment I woke up before I even ate anything. Oh, and my prenatal pills made me even worse - so I hate to say there were several days I went without them - because they'd just be coming up again anyway :-P

I felt the same way. I ate lots of Pasta Roni and crackers. I started feeling better around 12 weeks and my appetite is mostly normal at 15. I can eat veggies and proteins again! I wouldn't worry yourself too much. Just eat what you can.

I really like making a homemade chicken dumpling soup. The salty broth is kind of soothing and the buttery dumpling convince me to down the chicken, sweet potato and kale. For me it is a non gross way to get everything I should in a day!

At my sickest I ate a lot of little Caesar's cheese pizza. And danishes. Whatever works!

@Keybee: I did feel better when I ate more protein, but it was hard to find ones that sounded good. Meatball subs were good for some reason, or really processed chicken (like frozen chicken tenders were ok, homemade chicken cutlets- nope). Just realized I pretty much ate like my toddler.

I think for me it was starting most meals with a few sips of Sprite or Ginger Ale to calm my stomach a little and then very small portions. I tried to have the most nutritious food possible since I knew I would only be eating a small plateful.

Cheese & crackers was a good snack. Or peanut butter cracker packs. I would try to eat one cracker when I started to feel super nauseous.

You will feel better again! I'm 14 weeks and just ate a veggie filled kale salad. That would have made me hurl a few weeks ago. I lived off bagels, plain white toast (maybe some avocado or egg), crackers and last minute take out of whatever sounded remotely appealing at the moment.

I had hyperemesis so I definitely lost weight and I was in the hospital twice to control the hyperemesis and get an IV for fluids.

I have a list of foods that a good for hyperemesis. Let me know if you need it.

The foods that I liked was toast, crackers, pretzels, graham crackers, chicken broth and plain noodles. Sometimes I would add the noodles to the chicken broth to make an easy soup.

I'm 14 weeks and I was told to try foods with more protein. Peanut butter on toast is good. I bought some cereal bars with protein in it. I should try a smoothie with added protein.

I ate a lot of eggs (which are usually people's aversions, but not mine!), and cheese on crackers were always a safe bet. Always gatorade/sparkling water, and i always wanted asian or mexican food. So i guess, strong flavors. I just sorta ate what sounded decent and wasn't overly heavy to the point it made me feel sick. I also ate a lot of fruit or a smoothie because sometimes i didn't want to "eat" but drinking a meal was fine. It's a stage that passed for me--the hard part is breaking the bad food habits once you DO feel ok.
