It was for my friend's wedding in Chicago and we were all supposed to go but LO got roseola and had a super high fever on the morning of our flights. We decided for me to go alone and I felt super guilty but it was really a great decision. I got two days to hang out kid-free with my closest friends, I knew LO was in great hands with DH at home, and it really let me recharge. Loooooved it. I missed them, but really enjoyed having me time with my friends.<br /> The 2nd time I went away (a year later) was actually a bit more difficult and I missed them more, but it was still really nice getting away. Haha. We facetime'd a couple of times and it was fine. It's the first time I've been away from my girls for so long! they've done overnights at grandma's but not this long! I'm planning on Facetiming and I know they are in good hands with DH, but it makes me sad! how did you handle being away? I'm hoping that I'm having enough fun I don't think about it too much! </p>
