Being sick can be a symptom, because as soon as you get pregnant your immune system activity lowers. Or it could just be a sickness... waiting is the only way to find out :bummed:

I had a horrible flemmy cold when I got pregnant with our daughter, I leaned later that the medicine I took would have helped to loosen up my cervical mucous, which probably helped us conceive in the month we were only not preventing.

I'm sorry you are so sick! With my first pregnancy I had no symptoms in the TWW at all, the second I was emotional and this time I started to feel sick at around 12/13 dpo. I do think that was related to the pregnancy because it just got worse from there. Good luck and feel better soon!

I got the norovirus during my first TWW. I tried to get DH to take me to the hospital I felt so bad. I remember telling the advice nurse on the phone that if this was pregnancy I changed my mind about wanting to be pregnant. She said it wasn't and she was right. I got my first BFP a few months later. Good luck to you & feel better!

The last BFP that I got was a week after I had food poisoning, which was right in the middle of the TWW.

@californiadreams: Sorry you aren't feeling well! Chances are, it's not due to pregnancy since implantation usually doesn't happen until around 6-9 dpo.
The TWW is notorious for making people feel a little nutty because it seems like anything can be a symptom. One cycle, I swore I was pregnant and nada and then two I was pregnant I had none. So, I started putting symptom spotting completely out of my head because it was really disappointing. I only count a positive test as a pregnancy "symptom" now.
The way you feel won't have any effect on implantation. Best wishes and I hope you get your :bfp: soon! :goodluck:

I had bronchitis when we conceived. Apparently being sick lowers your immune system, which can actually help you conceive since your body doesn't "fight off" the sperm. Good luck!

makes it impossible to tell if i have any early symptoms! I am currently 7dpo and was sick with gastro all week so my stomach was off, i was puking, nauseous and fatigued....so i have no idea if i've had any actual early pregnancy symptoms yet. Has this ever happened to anyone? I don't know everything about TTC yet, so I am wondering if being sick this week can affect my chances of it happening...but i am also thinking it shouldn't...

On a side note, I now totally understand why this "two week wait" board exists. I never did before, thinking it was no big deal to wait 2 weeks to take a test! With my current LO, i only found out i was pregnant at almost 8 weeks because we were not TTC. So this is my first TWW ever and now after one week, it is killing me! I want to know!
