<description>&#60;p&#62;@Mrsbells:  I thought the same thing, but I cleaned mine every week religiously and because my little one would sweat mold still grew even with the pad being washed twice a week.  I'm cleaning it now, but I didn't think it would apply to me and it did.

<description>&#60;p&#62;yes there was a post about this earlier.  They said mold grows if gets wet or is exposed to moisture. I think that this shouldnt happen if its being cleaned regularly.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I got an alert today that there was a recall on our rock n play.  It appears that mold is growing in the base, I checked mine out even though I was religious about cleaning the padding and it was there!  So be sure to check yours so there are no sick babies!  (sorry if there was a post on this already, I have a sick baby so I quickly looked and didn't find one, but wanted to spread the word!)&#60;br /&#62;
