Just a quick shout out for Hannah Bower. I bought her core guide online, which is about $100 and less user friendly than most workout apps—you have to read the guide and put the exercises together yourself. That said, I still recommend it because it is the first and only fitness guide I’ve found that has described in a way I can understand how to do pelvic floor and other core exercises in a way that address the critical weaknesses I have in those areas thanks to pregnancy and child birth. It has changed the way I do all other exercises. If you suffer from incontinence, diastasis recti, or just feel your core has never recovered from having kids, I cannot recommend it enough. I think she has a new guide coming out that is all pregnancy and post partum but those topics are explicitly covered in her core guide.

I use fitness blender too. I usually buy a program because I'm bad at sequencing but all their videos are also free. It's an easy way to see if you like their style.

I follow Kayla Itsines and really like the idea of the Sweat app, but am also intrigued recently by Beach Body on Demand! I'm 32 weeks pregnant so not like I'm planning on doing anything anytime soon :silly:

@Mrs. Carrot: I use 7 minute workout for women and have done 20-30 minutes 2-3x/week for over a year now. It is based in HIIT stuff but has workouts that focus on specific areas (abs, arms, core etc) or whole body. They range in length from like 4 minutes to 20+ so you can do just one or a combo. There is a lot of variety to keep you from being bored. And it’s free!

I sound like an ad but it has just worked really well for me. I use it to complement running on other days so I mostly have used the abs/butt/arms ones.

I’ve enjoyed the streaming Beachbody subscription. You can choose from a variety of trainers/workouts/levels to keep it interesting and to keep you progressing. They have everything you mentioned above. When I did it, you can start with a free 1 month trial to see if you like it.

I’ve used Sweat before and liked it but eventually got bored with it. I’ve been using the Jillian Michaels app for the last few months and really like it! You get access to almost all her dvd workouts via the app, plus extra ones made just for the app. Only downside is you can only access it on your phone.

@Mrs Green Grass: I've heard good things about sweat.

I use fitness blender. They have a ton of free youtube videos or you can buy their programs (still pretty inexpensive).

Adding: you mentioned no equipment and low impact. You can filter videos on the fitness blender website for those criteria (also on length of workout) to see if they offer types of stuff you like.

I use SWEAT and I really like it! It’s designed as 3 resistance sessions a week, 28 mins each. There are additional options beyond that but I can barely get the 3 in. I’ve been using it since May and I am so much stronger.

Wondering if anyone has tried Aaptiv or another workout app/service they'd recommend? I miss exercise and want to start moving a little more but am really constrained by my schedule and a crappy back so the best I can do right now is 15-30 minutes in the morning or after work, at home, off a laptop or my phone, locked in my small-ish home office (no equipment). I tend to gravitate toward strength training, pilates, yoga, and low intensity cardio because my back issues limit how much I can do otherwise. Aaptiv sounds like a potential option but they won't let me see what kinds of workouts they have so I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for other services that fit my criteria or reviews of Aaptiv and whether it would fit what I'm looking for.
