@Rainbow Sprinkles: haven't heard of it! Will have to look into it!

So...just plain old sit-ups/crunches won't do the trick?

Toning can't restore elasticity, but it helps the appearance for sure! I've had such good luck with P90X Ab Ripper. It's the best core exercise I've ever had at home!

Following/bumping. I didn't gain a ton with #2 but my belly is so squishy. When we get through the newborn stage I need some exercise!

@Mrs Panda: For me, I had to find the right way to do it that would keep me interested. Barre did wonderful things for my core pre-baby, but I can't get to the studio (or afford it anymore, honestly). I'm doing OrangeTheory which incorporates weights with interval training and am starting to see a small difference.

@blackbird: that's what I was afraid of!
@HLK208: ugh, I hate weights but maybe I can try to find other core exercises to help fill in the flab!

can't really restore elasticity, unfortunately. I have it, too--i can distinctly tell what's fat and what's not, heh. You can kind of fake it a little by putting on some muscle to fill it out a little, but in a good way.

For me, running helps me lose weight but doesn't really tone and tighten so I don't look fit when I run alone. Weight lifting and core exercises have been helping my stomach area (and it was REALLY bad after three pregnancies). Also, I focus on my posture a lot to help with my core strength.

After two pregnancies, my tummy looks like, well, a deflated balloon. I'm running 4 or 5 times a week and the weight is coming off elsewhere, but the excess belly skin doesn't appear to be going anywhere. Short of a tummy tuck, how does one get rid of that? Does exercise do anything for it?
