It is awesome on fleas but now that it is summer I am worried about tick prevention. I've never seen a tick on her and we don't go anywhere wooded, but this week I've started to panic about it. He weighs about 65 lbs and his heartworm costs about $40 for 6 doses and $87 for the flea and tick for 6 doses. He's mostly in our house and yard, we walk him in our neighborhood (cityish suburbs), we rarely take him on hikes and hes occasionally at the beach. we just feel like $180/yr is so much money to spend on flea/tick preventative (i'm fine with the heartworm cost) Does anyone have any other recommendations or ideas on what we can do? </p>
