Come on - the Flint River?!?!? It's enraging. They saved money by using the Flint River to serve a community that is mostly black and with many living in poverty. Would this have happened in Bloomfield Hills? The city is still sending out bills for unusable water! I'm glad this is starting to get more attention nation-wide as it has been a big story here for a year. The lead is coming from pipes that were corroded by the water. So maybe they tested the water, it was ok, and they didn't see this issue coming up. But the city stayed quiet for a while once their tests showed there was a problem! That's totally worthy of criminal charges in my opinion.
