Based on the small hole in the ceiling I assume that’s what the previous owners of my house did. It plugs into the wall, runs up the wall to the ceiling and attaches at two points, one near the wall and one in the middle of the room. It has a giant drum shade and two bulbs inside one for more concentrated light and one that provides more flooded light. I actually got the style with the reading lamp piece to it but I wouldn’t recommend it because it just kind of sags.
